2 Corinthians 6: 11-7:1
1 Thessalonians 4:1-8
1 Peter 1:13-24
1 John 1:5-7

Summary

“This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:5-7

How much easier is it to clean a white toilet instead of a black toilet?  Just as filth and dirt is easily seen against the white color of a toilet, the sin in our lives is easy to see in light of God’s truth.

The Christian life is a process and we are not all in the same place along that journey.  However, as we grow up in Christ, he will address the sin in our lives.  We must do our part by allowing the truth of God’s word to show us our sins and then obey by confessing our sin and forsaking it.
