Someone Cares
The pain of an abortion doesn't just go away. It doesn't end when everyone else forgets, and it is not healed by time. The effects of abortion continue long after the procedure and go far beyond physical pain. Abortion affects every aspect of a woman's life. Post abortion stress impacts everyone involved. It crosses all races, cultures and religious beliefs. It has no respect for social or financial status. Abortion can also be a very isolating experience. Shame and guilt prevent women from being honest about their pain and therefore most post-abortive women carry their pain alone.
But, there is hope. Our God is a healing God and longs to mend your broken heart. His forgiveness is bigger than any choice you have made. All He asks is that you trust Him and allow Him to do His healing work in your heart. It is not an easy process. It requires being honest and open about your choices, your past and your pain. But, you don't have to walk this road alone. There are other women who have experienced God's grace, healing and forgiveness who are available to walk with you as you seek healing from your abortion experience.
Someone Cares is an outreach of Reunion Church for women who have experienced the pain of abortion. It is a safe, confidential, supportive group which allows women who've had abortions to walk the healing journey together. Some women have had one abortion, while others have had multiple experiences. Group leaders are women who have experienced the painful aftermath of abortion themselves. Though not licensed counselors, each has found healing thru God's grace and are committed to walking with you on this painful process of healing.
If you have been affected by the pain of abortion and are looking for a safe, secure, confidential place to seek healing and restoration, Someone Cares is for you. Whether you want to join a group, or simply need to talk to someone who understands, the facilitators of Someone Cares are available. Please contact Angel at someonecares@reunionchurch.org.
